On June 25th, 2009, the world came to a sudden standstill in reaction to the news of the untimely death of the greatest entertainer of all time - Michael Jackson.
An incomparable figure in music, dance and culture, the tragic loss of this legendary icon, continues to be mourned by his legions of fans worldwide.

Hence, Newbridge Silverware is honored to give his dedicated followers the opportunity to experience first hand, the magic of the King of Pop.
Presenting Michael Jackson - The Tribute, "A Once in a Lifetime Exhibition" at the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons from October 24th - November 5th, 2009.
This FREE Tribute Exhibit will showcase the most iconic property from the career of the King of Pop and includes unique memorabilia gifted from Michael to his friends and family. These pieces have never before been on public display.
The Highlight in the exhibit is Michael Jackson's iconic white glove from his 1983 performance of Billie Jean at the Motown 25 television special where he performed the Moonwalk for the first time. Michael Jackson gifted this glove to Walter Orange, one of the founding members of the Commodores. This glove is considered one of the most iconic pieces of Michael Jackson.
Also among the rare Michael Jackson items are: a stage-worn fedora hat worn by Michael in his performance at the 1995 MTV Music Awards with a letter from Lisa Marie Presley Jackson stating its provenance, zombie costumes from the Thriller video, a stage-worn costume from Jackson's final United States concert in April of 2002, Michael Jackson's stage worn "Bad" jacket signed by Michael Jackson, record awards and other property from his historic career.

This is the 2nd time the Newbridge Silverware Museum has presented memorabilia from Michael Jackson. This year from March 13th - 22nd, over 40K fans visited the World Exclusive Preview of the Personal Property of Michael Jackson at the Museum.
This rare Collection from Michael Jackson forms the highlight of Juliens Auctions "Music Icons" auction which also includes items from Rock and Roll legends, Madonna, Bob Dylan, Ron Wood, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Bo Diddley and many other "Music Icons".
This Collection of Rock n Roll history will be on display at the Museum during this time and will eventually be available at the "Music Icons" auction presented by Julien's Auctions at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square New York on Saturday, November 21st, 2009. |
