The classic Christmas movie Miracle on 34th Street has found Kris Kringle meandering the halls of the Museum of Style Icons (MOSI) at Newbridge Silverware and in a sight befitting of only the miracles Christmas can bring, he has left his bright red Santa Claus suit for all to enjoy.
Beginning Thursday, November 21, 2013 and through Monday, January 6, 2014 the most magical piece of movie memorabilia, the original red Santa suit worn by the merry Kris Kringle will exhibit exclusively at the Museum of Style Icons (MOSI) at the Newbridge Silverware Visitor's Centre. In the 1947 Christmas classic movie, an old man going by the name of Kris Kringle fills in for an intoxicated Santa in Macy's annual Thanksgiving Day parade. Kringle proves to be such a hit that he is soon appearing regularly at the chain's main store in midtown Manhattan. When Kringle surprises customers and employees alike by claiming he really is Santa Claus it leads to an investigation to determine his authenticity proving to all that Christmas indeed is the most special of times. The original movie stars Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle and Ireland's most beloved actress Maureen O'Hara along with John Payne, Natalie Wood, Jack Albertson and a host of other award winning actors.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view the original piece of movie memorabilia along with vintage movie images. Guests can also find the best gifts for the Christmas season in the showroom adjacent to the museum.
