Marlene Dietrich hit Hollywood like a tornado in 1930 when she appeared in her first American film MOROCCO directed by the great German director Josef Von Sternberg. It would be the only time Ms. Dietrich would be nominated for Best Actress but the best was yet to come. Starring in films like SEVEN SINNERS, DESTINY RIDES AGAIN and PITTSBURGH she left a body of work that is still appreciated today. Known for her unrelenting style she made history when she wore slacks for the first time in a film and prided herself in always looking perfect in public. In one of her many publicity photos she wore this beautiful diamond necklace.
