The Designer
Joan Rivers, born in 1933 to Jewish immigrant parents in Brooklyn New York is known today as one of Americas most iconic female comedians. Her expertise in Fine Art, antiques and vintage jewellery gained her recognition as a designer with her ranges of costume jewellery. Her wish was to create a range of affordable and accessible fashion jewellery, timeless in design was made possible with her association with the shopping channel QVC. Many of her designs resemble those from the 1930’s and 1940’s with excellent craftmanship using the finest of raw material and unique combinations of colours and shapes.
